One path, nine stages

Strangers become customers along a single path. Each stage feeds the next — which means your sales system is only ever as strong as its weakest stage, and effort poured anywhere else leaks straight out of the hole you haven't found yet.

Upstream problems masquerade as downstream ones. Weak positioning looks like a lead problem. A missing journey looks like a closing problem. The test finds the real one.

Why a diagnostic, not more advice

You don't lack advice. You lack a diagnosis. The internet will happily hand you a hundred tactics — post more, niche down, raise prices, run ads — and every one of them works brilliantly at the right stage and wastes your month at the wrong one.

The Bottleneck Finder asks 18 questions about situations you'll recognise — not self-ratings — and scores all nine stages of your sales system. It names the one that's actually blocking you, and gives you one concrete action for it today. Three minutes, no email, no login.

And when two stages score equally weak, the test points you to the earlier one — because fixing downstream first wastes the fix. That rule is the whole method in miniature.

About the author

Arshad is an engineer. When he set out to learn sales, he found the knowledge scattered across six brilliant teachers — Seth Godin on permission, April Dunford on positioning, Alex Hormozi on offers and leads, Donald Miller on message, Russell Brunson on funnels, Chris Voss on negotiation — each holding one piece, none holding the sequence. So he did what engineers do: he systematised it. From Stranger to Sold arranges those fragments into one nine-stage path, in the order a buyer actually travels it, with worked examples for one-person businesses.

The six authors above are named as influences in the book. They are not affiliated with it, and nothing here implies their endorsement.

The book behind the test

From Stranger to Sold is the full manual: every stage of the path in depth, the Playbook Cards that power this test's recommendations, and a 30-day plan that walks the whole loop once.

Each result page here draws on one chapter. The book gives you all nine — and the order that makes them work.
